Madlén Hjelmroth is a storyteller and writer with a particular perspective on humanity. Growing up behind the Iron Curtain and later immigrating to the Free World gave her a view of the human condition and the realisation that all humans are born the same, with circumstances and environment setting the frames.
Her inborn curiosity drives her to ask the sometimes difficult questions, look beyond the obvious, and go deeper into people's lives. She is interested in capturing the human experience in all its complexity and nuance, offering a window into the lives of others and a deeper understanding of ourselves.
Madlén’s work has been shortlisted for an exhibition at the 508 Kings Road Gallery in London and published in the eShe Magazine, amongst others.
